This office offers great options for many different treatments, including laser, body treatments, facials and peels. They are MD operated so both the doctor and staff are very well educated and well trained in both product/procedure knowledge, as well as customer service. Consultations are FREE, which means that these people will happily take time to really talk with you about your issues before you decide to move forward with any treatments. They are also very knowledgeable about many different treatment options, so it's not like they're pushing you to agree to just one way to go. They also have some great retail products, many of which are pretty reasonably priced. You have to understand that these are physician-only products which mean that they actually work, and yes can be a little more expensive than the crap you can buy and smother your face with at the drugstore. They are also very willing to give you some large discounts if you are really willing to commit to a treatment plan for more severe skin conditions. I've found all of the staff to be very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and organized. I would highly recommend this office if you are serious about great skin and body care.gender: man

I am really happy with my nail treatment at Isis. I had fungus for about 11 years especially on my big toes. They were dark yellow and thick and basically just ugly. I didn't want to take the meds (stop drinking beer for 9 months!? I don't think so) and nothing else worked (bleach, urine, you name it). The laser treatment was worth every penny. It has been 6 months and the nails are almost the whole way grown out. It's really cool you can see the totally healthy part keeps growing and the gross pat is on its way out. I can finally wear flip flops again and my wife isn't all grossed out by touching my feet any more. This was a great investment.

I really liked my aestheticians and services here. I have had two VI Peel facial treatments to help with hyperpigmentation. It is definitely making an improvement in my appearance. (Be advised: peel results are noticeable after one treatment, but peeling takes place over 5-10 days and looks a bit scary!) The aestheticians also recommended combining laser Genesis skin rejuvenation with the VI peel treatment. There's no downtime associated with this procedure at all and it has definitely made my skin look better. I also used them for laser hair removal on full legs. I've completed two sessions, so far. When I found out that they only use ice packs instead of numbing cream, I was skeptical. However, I've been pleasantly surprised because the ice does a fine job of numbing, plus the laser definitely seems gentler than at two other places I've been. Luckily, I've enjoyed discounts through [specials] to avoid full price. I'm not sure I could afford full price; but they've let me know about their specials to help me keep costs down. Wearing open-toed shoes again! Yay!
I highly recommend the laser nail fungus therapy for anyone who suffers with this nasty problem. I did, and I tried everything including the toxic pills. I faithfully took them every day and had blood tests every singe month to make sure they weren't killing my organs and after all of that...NOTHING! I also tried treatments from the podiatrist where she filed my nails and put medicine on. Seemed promising at first, but no, it didn't work at all. And I tried every home remedy, over the counter crap and they were all a waste of time and money. So when I heard about the laser treatment from my (NEW) pedicurist I was ready to sign up! I did my research and found Isis which was a bit of a drive for me but I went to a few places for consults and they were the best. The price was good and the staff was really helpful. They answered all of my questions and were very professional and knowledgeable. It doesn't hurt that the spa is gorgeous either. Also they offer a huge discount in case you need to be retreated in the future which was huge for me since I figured after all the stuff I tried I must have super-fungus. Well it has been 7 months and all signs of that nasty fungus are gone!!! I could not be happier!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My daughter has been attending ISIS for the past 3 months and I've been seeing great results definetly give this business the 5 stars her skin has been looking incredibly beautiful. She had acne within a month she had noticeable changes..lately she started doin laser hair removal and she claims they are patient and nice to her...great service.

I have to give some major kudos to Isis. They gave me something I thought was lost forever. My youth. I'm 72, young in mind, young in body, but with a old-looking face that doesn't match the way I feel inside, or even the rest of me. I hated my mirror. I'd never consider plastic surgery. But Isis sounded too interesting to pass up. I feel a little embarrassed to come off self-adoring, but I saw this movie with Paul Newman, "The Color of Money." Here was an older guy, so handsome, with a beautiful jaw line. I was green with envy. I asked Isis if they could give me that jaw line. Mine was saggy. My throat wasn't much better and I had wrinkles and deep lines in my face. They said they could make it a lot better. I liked that idea. I especially liked that there'd be no cutting or needles or looking sunburned and stuff like that. Just laser light and heat. I had two different treatments. One is called Genesis. It makes the skin produce collagen like a twenty year old. The other one is called Titan. It shrinks the collagen, kind of like throwing a wool sweater into a dryer. The cool part is that the shrinking goes on for months, a little bit every day, continually tightening up the skin. I went for the program. The results knocked me out. I'm on speaking terms with my mirror now. Today, it's really fun to tell people I'm 72. They swear I look 50. The deep lines around my mouth and nose are gone. My jaw looks great, neck looks great. No one can tell I had a treatment afterwards. I look the same, but better. I can't say enough good things about the way I feel now. Even my business got better. Yeah, I still work and work hard. I travel to the Bay Area about 5 months out of the year, and on a impulse I decided to look into possible treatment for firming up my neck and jawline. I saw something about the Titan laser on a talk show and looked into it on-line. They offer that at Isis so I deceided to give it a try. I like that the doctor answered all my questions before I committed to the treatment. I have had 2 treatments already, and will probably have my third in a few months. I was told that there may be immediate results, but that most of the results will occur over the next few months, and then the skin continues to tighten and make new cells underneath that keep the skin younger-looking. This is too cool! I am only in my late 40's but I figure it's better to start before gravity takes over too much.. My wife likes my jawline, which looks much tighter and more defined. I am looking forward to seeing how my eyes look after I try having a treatment above the eyebrows. We'll see. There is definitely a heating sensation during the treatment, but it was tolerable each time. My face was a little red for about 30 minutes after. Overall, I believe I am getting what I expected. Problem: Acne scars, post-acne hyper-pigmentation and unevenness of the skin. I am a very skeptical UC Berkeley student and I always do a great amount of research before purchasing a product or service. That being said, I was skeptical about the VI Peel and almost canceled my order thinking that the VI Peel would not work on my stubborn acne aftermath. I went in for a consultation at May. Nicole was extremely helpful and courteous. She gave me everything I needed to produce a successful result, which I doubted at first because my skin looked a bit worse before the VI Peel. I wish I had stop worrying and just believed the fact that it had to get a little worse with the preparation before it got A LOT BETTER! On June 1, 2011 I went in for a VI Peel. I didn't expect much but I was willing to do it for the slightest improvement on my skin. It was painless and Nicole was, as always, comforting and assuring. Unlike other peels, my face only felt the slightest sense of tingling. As I left, Nicole gave me the necessary products. I always had a sense that Nicole knew what was going to happen before the results came out. I peeled thick layers of skin and I was amazed by what I saw when the peeling process ended on day 5. I thought I would never see my skin in such great conditions again. My friends commented on how clear and luminous my skin has become. The softness was like a baby's bottom and the glow was just heart melting. I usually don't get excited and have extremely high standards for services. Canceling on that VI Peel would have been one of the biggest mistakes I could have done to my skin. I immediately scheduled another appointment and I absolutely cannot wait until my skin completely heals and peel for even better results. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to everyone at Isis. I had a lot of acne scars from when I was a teenager, some of them were pretty deep. I am a Latina woman and my skin is a little darker so everyone told me there were no treatments for my skin color and I would just have to live with it! I am so happy my friend told me about Isis. She was really happy w/her hair removal treatment and she said at Isis they would know how to work with my skin type. She was right! I had a free consultation where they explained my different options. I got a combination of peels and genesis laser. I am not even done w/my treatments yet but wow, my skin is really smooth. I didn't know that they would be able to treat not just the scars but my discoloration too. All those marks and brown spots are just going away. My skin keeps looking better and better. I just returned to Isis the other day to replenish some of their products that now I can't seem to live without. For the past almost a year, a certain skin strengthening product has changed the way my skin feels to me and my face has had a new glow that I attribute to the daily use of this facial creme. Before discovering Isis Health Center, I was not one to experiment with miracle promising cosmetics, usually overpriced and usually not geared to the darker skinned population. This is the first place I've ever experienced that deals with all skin types, including my brown African skin. I have actually seen undoubtable improvements in my skin tone and texture since utilizing a variety of the services and products this safe and informative place has had to offer. I plan to continue my relationship with them as long as they are here in Oakland!!!follow up review
Proud to say that I am still enjoying the benefits of the services at Isis. My apricot scrub and 5.99 cocca butter days are long over. Now that I even just found Isis is providing financing services, I'm considering some treatments for myself that I've never imagined I would. With the abundant laser hair spas all over town, there is not ONE that actually compare with the unique services and atmosphere as Isis. Thank you for staying in Oakland!!!

Recommended!!! I was a little nervous about laser hair removal for a small part of my back, and the nurse explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable. I also had a consultation with the doctor a few weeks before I came in. (Not every spa has a doctor on staff, I have learned). To me, Isis was just what I expected from a medical establishment. I am still in pretty good shape and I do workout but I just could not get my tummy to look flat, especially the lower part. The VelaShape really works! It seemed to help my circulation and I really feel good. My tummy looks tight and I've pretty much lost the fat pooch. Thanks Isis!

I never told my husband that I was receiving treatments for my large pores and sun-damaged skin. After only two Vitalize Peels and one Genesis treatment, my husband touched my cheek and said my skin was looking better and what was I doing? I have been extremely pleased with my positive results after using the Titan. My face looked younger and more radiant right after the treatment. The sensitive skin under my eyes was tighter, the wrinkles under my eyes were greatly reduced and my skin looked smoother and healthier. My skin continued to get tighter over the next few months. It was exciting to get up every morning and look in the mirror and see further improvements. I've also had 3 Genesis treatments. The Genesis is great because it makes my skin less transparent. It makes my skin thicker and more resilient like it was when I was younger. The blue under my eyes has disappeared, making me look even younger. I really feel good!! Everyone keeps telling me I look young and healthy! I've also been battling with the uneven, bumpy and slightly puffy bumps on my cheeks caused by rosacea over the last couple of years. The Genesis has resolved this almost completely. If I drink lots of water, wear sunscreen, stay away from red wine and spicy foods, and get a Genesis treatment once every 4-6 weeks, my rosacea disappears!

I tried to hide the deep acne scarring on my face with my hair. But there was too much to hide. I cringed every time I felt or saw someone's eyes on my face. After only one treatment of Genesis at Isis, one area on my cheeks became completely smooth. I then had Titan along with Genesis, and a peel, and the deep scars became dramatically shallower. I actually felt attractive. The best part is that the improvement continues on its own, daily. The scarring is barely noticeable. What a wonderful feeling.

I always wore heavy foundation, to hide the roughness of my skin, and the wrinkling, a little sagging, too. After only one treatment of Genesis, I stopped using foundation. My skin looked amazing. People at work commented on how good I looked, how rested and refreshed. Yet, I never told anyone about having the treatment. I continued with some Titan and more Genesis and a peel, and the results have bowled me over. I can't tell you what this has done for my confidence. I feel pretty. I'm very prissy about my looks. I'm a hair stylist and always involved with fashion, so my patrons expect me to look good. I've had cosmetic surgery, botox injections and have been involved with all sorts of creams and facial exercises to keep an attractive face and healthy looking skin. I heard about Isis and decided to try it. My first treatment of Genesis was so extraordinary that I came back for more and added Titan to it. I can say that my eyes look especially amazing. When I smile I no longer have the ugly little crinkles that show up under them. Cosmetic surgery couldn't solve this problem, but to my surprise, the combined Genesis and Titan did a marvelous job. Everything looks so natural with laser. I'm so thrilled with this process. I like that I can have a treatment and not miss a day of work.

I'm sixty-nine years old, with a trim, athletic body and am in great shape. I still play basketball three days a week with young guys. But my face is another story. I'd lost my jaw line to sagging skin, my neck had gotten loose and floppy and my facial skin was dry and cross-hatched with wrinkling. I know aging is normal, but my face didn't match the rest of me at all. I hated this. Isis had a good reputation and decided to give it a try. My first Genesis treatment made a huge difference in the smoothness of my skin. Then I had Titan and, day by day, watched my jaw line return and my neck tighten and smooth out. The wrinkles decreased to almost nothing on my cheeks, and the skin around my eyes smoothed out wonderfully. I see how important it is to maintain that younger, healthy-skin look with the creams that Isis recommends. I'm not a narcissist, but I'm really enjoying the new me. I love the results of my treatment. I had hair on my upper lip. Not heavy, but enough to embarrass me. For ten years I had my lip waxed every two to three weeks. It cost me about $10 to $12 per waxing. I figured out that I'd spent at least $1,700 over that time. Probably more. You can add embarrassment to that figure. After four hair removal sessions at Isis, about five minutes each, I'm hair-free, at last. I'm so thrilled that I don't have to think about this any more. Makes me confident.

I am absolutely thrilled with the results of my Genesis and Titan treatments. I am 54 years old and although I am very energetic, my face was starting to look tired and my neck had begun to sag. The genesis was very a comfortable way to even out my skin color and firm up my skin tone. After the genesis I wanted to see if anything more could be done for the sagging of my skin. After completing the Titan treatment I am delighted with the firmness of my skin. There is a significant improvement in the small wrinkles as well as the deeper wrinkles around my mouth and between my eyebrows. Many people have commented on how good I look now and I feel much more confident about my appearance.

After years of shaving my legs and underarms, I'd had it. I was often so busy that when I didn't have time to shave, I wore pants to cover up. I can't believe how Isis changed everything for me. I'm so happy now with my results. I have a greater sense of freedom, and it shows. Since the hair removal worked out so well, I decided to see if they could improve my skin, which was dry and dull looking. They performed a peel, which gave my skin an instant, healthy, silky sheen. Having modelish looking skin has been a personal thrill for me. Very unexpected. I'm also really pleased that I don't break out anymore, which is a minor miracle. I came in expecting that all hope was lost. The stiff black hairs forming on the right rim of my lower jaw were unsightly! But my first session proved promising. Within a month I saw great improvement, the hairs became lighter and finer each session which gave me hope that one day they will never come back. Everyone in the office is kind and sympathetic to my worries.
